AYALA BulldoGS

Rules and Regulations

Ayala Baseball is considered an extracurricular activity, and is therefore a privilege. We at Ayala High School believe that there are certain guidelines that need to be followed by all our student/athletes. If these guidelines are not followed suspensions or complete removal from the program is mandated.

Baseball is a team sport; No player shall ever be put in front of the team and their goals. The Ayala Baseball Program belongs to the players and at times players will be expected to make decisions on issues that directly pertain to the team concept that has been built here. The privilege of playing baseball can be revoked at anytime by the coach, or by the team. We play together, lose together, and win together; Never will any one player jeopardize this philosophy or the team concept.

Player Guidelines

  • Any player who drops below a 2.0 will not participate until the next reporting period.

  • Any player who has a 2.5 or below will attend study hall at brunch, lunch in Room 101 Monday - Friday.

  • Any player who continually comes up ineligible will be dismissed from the team.

  • Any player who steals from the program or another player is subject to dismissal and/or suspension.

  • Any player caught using alcohol on campus or in possession of drugs on campus will be subject to immediate dismissal from the program for the remainder of the year.

  • Any player disrespecting coaches, umpires, teachers, administrators, parents, or community members are subject to suspension and dismissal from the team.

  • Any player who disrupts the chemistry of the team and/or program is subject to suspension and/or dismissal from the baseball program.

  • Any and all school related problems will result in a conference with the coach and player. If problems persist suspension from the team and/or dismissal is warranted.

  • Any player caught "hazing" another member of the program is subject to dismissal from the team. Ayala Baseball is a family and we will treat all players the way we would like to be treated.

  • All players will give 100% effort all the time.

  • Games (Including Spring Break, Summer, & Fall), Meetings, Team Functions, and Fund-Raisers are all mandatory and each player will participate. If you are not able to attend, Coach Bowler must be notified. If this is not done the team and coaches will deal with violation. Suspensions and/or dismissal from the program is warranted.

  • All players will be on time to games, meetings, and team functions. "If you are 5 minutes early, you are 5 minutes late." The time you are told to be there is the time you are ready to play.

  • All players will dress appropriately on campus. NO SAGGING PANTS OR HATS WORN BACKWARDS AND NO VULGAR SHIRTS. SCHOOL POLICY AS WELL AS BASEBALL. You are representing your family and the school daily as well as baseball.

  • No player will play on any off campus teams unless approved by the coaching staff (Scout League and Travel Ball ok). If you get hurt playing adult league baseball or softball dismissal from the program is warranted. Remember there are 19 other kids counting on you being healthy for games, don't be selfish.
